"In September 2026, we (two people and a dog) spent three nights at the "Chalet Hochkalter," which can also be booked through their website. The chalet is modern and practically furnished. It was clean, but ventilation is only possible by leaving the front door open and using the tiny window in the kitchenette. Unfortunately, when we first viewed the website and booked by phone with the owner, it wasn't clear that the great photos and descriptions on the website, especially of the spa and terrace, didn't actually apply to the "Chalet Hochkalter," but only to the neighboring apartment called "Lodge2713." So, we ended up with an apartment that was okay, but unfortunately didn't meet our expectations. The terrace listed under "Amenities" must be the neglected little outdoor area above the apartment. It's accessible via an external staircase that leads to several apartments and rooms in the older main building (and runs directly past the chalet's "panoramic window"). ``` It's worth checking Google Maps before booking this property to get a better idea of ​​its location and appearance. Lodge2713 and Chalet Hochkalter are extensions to the aging main house, located at the front facing the busy main road. The landlord was not very accommodating, essentially saying, "It's your own fault." True, it was a lesson for us not to be fooled by cleverly designed websites and to pay even closer attention to property descriptions in the future."

The apartment itself is beautifully and luxuriously furnished – everything is new, thoughtfully designed, and meticulously maintained. The entire accommodation was spotlessly clean. Check-in was straightforward: the key was securely and easily accessible. For a true wellness experience, everything one could wish for was provided: a sauna, infrared cabin, whirlpool, multiple showers, plenty of towels, and a covered barbecue area with various seating options and loungers for private use. In short: a place to feel good, relax, and enjoy."

"A dream lodge in a perfect location! There were seven of us staying at Lodge 2713, and we thoroughly enjoyed the region. Schönau am Königssee, Berchtesgaden, and Ramsau are ideally situated – Königssee, Hintersee, the Kehlsteinhaus (Eagle's Nest), the salt mine, and the town of Berchtesgaden are all within easy reach. Hiking trails start right at the doorstep. Even at this time of year, with the Christmas market, it's simply wonderful. The sauna and whirlpool are the absolute highlight, and the view of the mountains from the whirlpool is simply sensational. Overall, the lodge is very modern and new, cozy, and offers excellent value for money. We will definitely be back! We felt incredibly welcome as soon as we arrived: a fruit platter was waiting for us on the table – and as a special treat, even a jar of honey from the family's own production. After our hikes, we truly appreciated the comfort of the lodge: the cozy rooms, the high-quality furnishings, and especially the wellness area. The combination of sauna, whirlpool, and relaxation areas was exactly what we needed after 8-10 hours on the mountain. Since Markus and Lena themselves spend a lot of time in the mountains, they are the perfect place for insider tips. Their recommendations for tours, mountain huts, and viewpoints were spot on. For anyone who loves mountain sports and is looking for true relaxation in the evenings, Lodge 2713 is highly recommended. We will definitely be back!"
